I was in Maui this past week. I had the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot with Maui SmugMug Users Group at the Haiku Mill. The subjects were the performers of www.merkabahfireproductions.com.
The performers were amazing! The location was incredible. I love Hawaii!!!

Volume No.1 -- Post No.1 Inaugural Post
This is my inaugural post! I've been wanting to start this blog for a while, but just haven't had the time. Jennifer's passion for photography has definitely rubbed off on me. Jennifer just left for Hawaii, so I'm off work to stay home with the kids today. They wanted to watch a movie, which left me time to kick this off. I think I will start with one of my favorite photos.
I took this when I was south of New Orleans this past May doing levee Periodic Inspections for the US Army Corps of Engineers. I won't give any more details on it. I read somewhere that your photographs have to tell the whole story. Let your audience see what they see. If it's a good image, it will speak for itself.
I took this next photo with a lensbaby composer. The lens is a pseudo tilt-shift lens that keeps a chosen part of your photograph in sharp focus and blurs the surrounding edges. Very artistic! I love it! You can see their lenses here: http://www.lensbaby.com/
That's it for Post No.1.
P.S. Aloha and Mahalo Jenn!
