Volume No.5 -- Post No. 10 -- Recovering Negatives from Fuji FP-100C Polaroids
Jennifer has a Polaroid Land Camera that takes "Pack" film. This is the older Polaroid that you pull from the camera after and then peel the backing off to reveal the instant photo. Jennifer told me that you can recover the negative. Basically you use bleach to wipe the black backing off the film being careful not to remove the emulsion side that captured the image. The photos of Jensen (red shirt) and his friend is my first successful recover. The color image is the actual Polaroid Print. The color shift of the negative was so bad, I decided to scan the negative in black & white.
This Polaroid image of Bella was photographed and recovered by Jennifer.
We learned the technique watching Michael Raso of the Film Photography Project youtube video below. He and his crew are super entertaining. Catch their podcast at http://filmphotographyproject.com/podcast.
